The announcement teaser of the epic Ramayana by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari titled Ramayana: The Introduction was out recently and the audience showered it with love, praise and shows excitement on social media.
Claimed as the biggest Indian film ever, In Ramayana we will see Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
In the middle of all this, there have been massive rumours stating that the film’s budget is estimated at over Rs 1000 crore and now a report has enunicated the same – Ramayana’s budget is going to be outrageous, huge and unheard of for any Indian film – Rs 1600 crore, excluding prints and publicity.
However the twist here is the planned budget has been divided between the two movies i.e Rs 900 crore for Ramayana Part 1 and Rs 700 crore for Ramayana Part 2.
Confirming the same, a source close to producer Namit Malhotra informed Bollywood Hungama, “There is Ramayana 1, which is is being made on a budget of approximately Rs 900 crore, and then there is Ramayana part 2, which will be made on a budget of around Rs 700 crore.
Ranbir Kapoor's fees for Ramayana
So, there were a lot of reports suggest what the star cast was paid. Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly being paid Rs 75 crore for a film. That would make him earn Rs 150 crore for the two instalments of Ramayana. But these reports yet to be confirmed.
Sai Pallavi's fees for Ramayana
The film stars actress Sai Pallavi as Sita. As reported by Siasat. com, she is currently quoting Rs 6 crore per film.
Yash' fees for Ramayana
Well, not Ranbir Kapoor but it's KGF actor Yash who has been charging the highest for Ramayana. He plays Ravana in the film and rumour has it that he is charging Rs 200 crore for the films, as per ABP Live. There is no confirmation whatsoever.
Sunny Deol as Hanuman
The film, also features Sunny Deol in a key role. He will be portraying Lord Hanuman in Ramayana. Terms of his fees have not been disclosed. But he is 'honoured' to be a part of this film of Rama vs Ravana.
Ramayana release date
Ramayana also features the likes of Ravei Dubey, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta and others. Ramayana Part 1 will hit the theatres on Diwali 2026. Ramayana Part 2 is all set to release on Diwali 2027.
